Care About Hythe Group

6th November

A new subsection of Devstop - CAHG. The Care About Hythe Group has been setup to highlight what is special about Hythe and how it could be devastated by the development of a massive Sainsburys Supermarket - more information to follow soon.

Deferred!

20th October

SDC's planning committee votes unanimously for a deferment on the proposal.

Now is the time to gather further information against the proposal to ensure this monstrosity does not slip through next time.

Revised plans fall woefully short

6th October

Despite Hythe Town councils request for changes to the design of the building and suitable green screening, the plans show no change to the style of this out of context industrial box. A few centimetres here and there and a little more space at the front, do nothing for the fact it will start on a plinth that in some places tower above eye level and go up from there, with a significant part of the building, still virtually right on the pavements edge.
